For the food: 3 stars at most for sure. For what the price of each dish, not quite sure I'd come back for it. Stir-fried noodles were a little too oily for my taste and the vegetables didn't seem to be cooked very well.
For the service and decor: 5 stars! The waiter kept bringing out refills for my friend's iced tea (without charge) and the environment of the restaurant is really nice. -

Had high expectation but find it is another American Chinese place instead of Chinese food restaurant.
The environment is pretty good. -

This place is amazing and its super near the campus. The food and service is awesome, my go to dish is the beef and greenbeans udon noodle. The portion is real big with only 13bucks. Definitely coming back again!!!

Visiting my daughter in St.Louis! Her and her hubby eat here all the time and took us for dinner! The food was outstanding!!! Extremely fresh, food served nice and hot and the sticky ribs are to die for. We ordered duck noodle, chicken curry, and beef and bean! All were fabulous!! Inside restaurant is cozy and clean. Staff very friendly and accommodating!! Loved it!!!

Textbook case of what a new owner of an existing restaurant should NOT do. In order to increase profit (wild guess?), the new owner has implemented various cost-cutting measures that are truly off-putting. A couple of things such as getting rid of fresh flowers and using cheaper napkins are not truly bothersome to this reviewer who is also a small business owner but the short-sightedness of the changes she has made are really sleazy. This used to be our go-to, a couple times a week high-end fast food option. Now, we keep trying it once a month and it literally has been getting worse every time. It doesn't help that the new owner simply is not likeable!!! She acts as though we, the customers, owe her and that she's doing us a favor.
First, the meat portions have gotten far smaller. At least on the items we order. Secondly, out of the 7 dishes that were on our table last night, 5 had huge chips. I mean bigger than a dime. Tacky! The wait staff know us well for years of coming (the original staff, most of them, were all fired by the new owner), and you can clearly tell that they're embarrassed.
They were out of salad greens and pork last night. Seriously. Tuesday night at 5:30 PM. The food comes out and the chipped bowls were so messy with food hanging out over the rims and the outside the bowls were stained. All they had to do was wipe them off!
For years, I've been purchasing gift cards to Bobo's for friends. This past holiday season, they only had $10 ones available. I was told that the new owner only wants them and not higher amount. What? Often times their credit card machine does not work. They seem to have only 1 phone line and therefore credit card transactions, phone orders, etc., all make things bog down during high times.
Why not work on increasing sales therefore profit? The most important yet easiest way is to NOT antagonize your loyal, long-time customers. The changes you make, however small, we notice! It's so difficult to EARN a new customer, why not do your best to KEEP the ones you have, then work on getting new ones.
I mostly patronize small, independently owned local businesses but within reason. You can't expect a good return without putting in the effort of going above and beyond. For this type of food, Americanized campus-driven, you must have other amenities to draw the crowd. Don't just slap out bowls of unattractive looking food and expect to turn a profit. Give your staff tools and good products to do their job well and proudly.
